Located approximately 40 mi (64 km) northeast of San
Francisco, the city of Fairfield offers an array of activities for all visitors,
ranging from factory tours to live entertainment to a variety of recreational
opportunities. For those who are jellybean fanatics, the Jelly
Belly Factory offers visitors a chance to witness the creation of the famous
candy, sample the new flavors and enjoy a jellybean-shaped hamburger at the onsite
restaurant. For live entertainment, the Fairfield
Center for Creative Arts hosts an assortment of musical performances and dramatic
productions throughout the year. An art gallery is also located in the theater
lobby and features rotating art exhibits. Outdoor pursuits are popular in Fairfield
where visitors enjoy golfing at the two 18-hole championship courses and hiking
in Rockville
Hills City Park. The nearby Grizzly
Island Wildlife Area spans over 10,000 acres and hiking, fishing and hunting
are popular activities in this park.
